eTRANSERVICES awarded State of Delaware Department of Technology and Information Contract
FREDERICKSBURG, VIRGINIA, UNITED STATES, August 13, 2013 / — eTRANSERVICES awarded State of Delaware Department of Technology and Information Contract to Provide Support Services for Improving Technical Solution Strategies
eTRANSERVICES was awarded a subcontract to support the State of Delaware by assisting to conduct a Planning and Assessment Study to analyze, adapt, and improve technology solutions. eTRANSERVICES will help to improve Delaware’s overall technological solutions helping to analyze to identify trends and potential improvements in the information and technology market that would enable the State to take advantage of emerging technologies to get to its “ideal state.”
eTRANSERVICES will assist in the assessment of following trends, but are not limited to:
- Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)
- Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS)
- Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)
- Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS)
- Data-as-a-Service (DaaS)
- Metal-as-a-Service (MaaS)
- Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS)
- Help Desk and Cloud Help Desk
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
- Enterprise Mobility Strategy and Solutions
ETRANSERVICES will assist in developing a transition strategy to meet the future state requirements of the State of Delaware. Our evaluation effort will include strategies to address the following:
- Cloud considerations
- Position recommendations for identified trends
- Funding model consideration
- Cost savings opportunities
- Application modernization strategy
- Human resource (HR) considerations
- New services and products
- Self-service options
ETRANSERVICES will use its Enterprise Architecture capability and depth of knowledge to help map potential paths of actions from the current state as well as a possible timeline and the required resources (both technical and human capital) to reach the future; document evident obstacles and hindrances to achieving the ideal state along with possible remedies.
